Information on Comics and Comic Book Heroes
This is not a new trend. This trend has existed since the very first movie about Superman and Batman - or even Spider Man. These are the superheros depicted in comics. An example is Marvel Comics, an American comic book company owned by the Marvel Publishing. Among the published works of Marvel Comics include Spider Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, The Hulk, and Ghost Rider. All of these are being produced in action movies and thus a trend has begun by transforming comics into movies. Besides movies, there are games invented which are based on the comic characters, and TV cartoon shows for children’s entertainment. Marvel Comics is not the only company doing that.
Apparently its rival, DC Comics, is doing the same. DC Comics is a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Entertainment. DC Comics has a list of well-known characters such as Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman under its belt. So first came the comic books of these characters, then came the era of cartoon shows and finally there are games dedicated to worship the characters and movies to depict the comics in action on the big screen. They are willing to produce these games series and movies with big budgets. Of course, these movies normally manage to rake in high amount of profits.
It is a fast growing trend where everyone is copying each other’s concept and it is not uncommon for novels to be adapted into movies as well. Still, these giant comics companies manage to bring in much deserved fun and laughter as well as surprises to the audience with a wide range or products. Nothing beats the popularity of old school comic books though.
